Il cinema Odeon fu inaugurato in Pilgrim Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, il 7 settembre 1931. Originariamente conosciuto come Paramount Theatre, fu rilevato da Odeon nel 1939. Il lussuoso arredamento dell’Odeon lo rese uno dei cinema più raffinati del paese e probabilmente il cinema del nord-est. più amato. La maggior parte delle immagini in questo album risalgono alla sua apertura e trasmettono un senso reale dell’eleganza e della bellezza dell’edificio.
